Highlights from Mutts, Meows & Margaritas 15!
This year’s Mutts, Meows and Margaritas was a raging success!
Held Saturday evening, October 4, 2025, at the always accommodating Cadillac Bar-Houston, guests enjoyed an evening of non-stop fun complete with delicious food, Margaritas, live and silent auction excitement (including our first-time item of His and Her custom made cowboy boots courtesy of Republic Boot Company in the Heights that generated a bidding war!), three comprehensive Raffle baskets each worth over $1200, the latest AI photobooth, more door prizes than imaginable, FOB merchandise at our landmark doghouse, and the now famous room of a thousand stuffed animals for patrons to take home.
We want to thank our Presenting Sponsor, the Lee + Desenberg Law Firm of Houston, for their second year as our main sponsor.
We also want to thank our other generous sponsors who made the night a raging hit: The Obermeyer Family, The Knight Family, Katz Coffee, and Kathyrn and Lara Hanneman, as well as all of our table sponsors who reserved 10, 6 and 4-top tables complete with Swag bags filled with all kinds of goodies.
Special thanks to MC Casey Curry and Live Auctioneer David Born for another exciting production.
Our event chairperson Christina Garcia-Stanley did an outstanding job keeping the event committee together and stocked with innovative ideas, including new ones we’ll be implementing for next year. We are always grateful to our volunteer coordinators Sharyn and Jerry Bauerkemper and the team of selfless MMM committee members it takes to put on an event of this nature.
We will be setting a date for 2026, our 16th one, and can’t wait to share that Save The Date with you.
Each dollar raised goes towards helping the homeless pet population currently at the City of Houston municipal shelter BARC find their forever home, as well as towards after-care support for adopted, fostered and rescued animals from BARC with medical needs that were unforeseen or need attention once outside the shelter to keep pets with their newly-found families.
