2nd BARC Spay/Neuter Event

Friends of BARC sponsored its second BARC Spay/Neuter event of 2025 on Sunday, September 14th.
Open to the general public, a total of 60 animals (38 cats, 22 dogs) were sterilized, a small yet important step towards curbing the overpopulation of Houston’s animal population.
Led by Dr. Grace Lee and a dedicated team of vet techs and volunteers, the event was seamless and all pet owners were happy to reunite with their beloved four-legged children at the end of the day. The $20 fee for each animal came with a microchip and city of Houston registration. FOB donated new Martingale collars and leashes to the dogs. In addition, FOB kept the staff fueled with a delicious lunch from Jersey Mike’s.
We look forward to the next spay/neuter event at BARC tentatively planned for November.
